This vintage of Catherine Syrah is pure passion and focus in a glass. Our vineyard and winemaking teams’ valiant efforts paid off in the face of a challenging year. As always, this 100% Syrah from our estate vineyard in The Rocks District has rewarded us with beauty born out of suffering. The color is intensely purple with garnet around the rim. The nose is richly dark with clove, smoked olive, and black fruits. Depth of these aromas is fulfilled on the palate with dried Italian herbs, fire-roasted tomato, and fig. The finish sends our thoughts meandering through a twilight camp scene, with a dark berry galette sizzling in a cast iron skillet over an open fire.
